Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me
today, I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin
When he smiled I realized
I'd passed it on to him .
I thought about that smile
then I realized what it's worth,
A single smile, just like mine
could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected Let's
start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!
--THE VALUE OF A SMILE:
A smile costs nothing, but gives much. It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.
Today, share your excitement for life with other people. Make someone smile. Go out of your way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone you don't even know. Have a blessed, smile-filled day!
You know how when you take a photograph of people, you ask them to say "Cheese"? I've got a better idea for putting a smile on those faces before you take the picture - Ask them to say "Jesus."
He is the One who can put a smile on your face - for with Him in your heart, you have the blessed assurance that you will be spending Eternity in Heaven with Him. And that is really something to smile about - even without the camera!
